Recommendation

Sandwich panels made of steel have become one of the best recognised solutions for insulated farm buildings, and especially for livestock buildings. Animal housing requires high performing coated steels to ensure a long service life in a very corrosive environment (humidity & condensation, ammonia rich atmosphere…), with resistance to frequent cleaning products.

ArcelorMittal has developed coatings especially adapted for farm buildings: zinc-magnesium metallic coating (Magnelis®) and organic coating (Granite® Farm). They ensure a building life time before refurbishment of minimum 20 years and a positive impact on investment.

A minimum coating mass of 275g/sqm (or equivalent) is required for Granite® Farm substrate, and 310g/sqm for Magnelis®.

By choosing ArcelorMittal best in class products, you make the choice of a guaranteed quality and sustainability, as our products are certified without hexavalent chromium and heavy metals (compliant with REACh European regulation).
